As part of its vision of enabling a broad and active blockchain development community, the Algorand Foundation is committed to supporting that community, as they explore the opportunities for innovation that exist within the Algorand Blockchain ecosystem. After thorough review and selection, we are delighted to announce that Headline Inc is the latest project to receive an Algorand Foundation Development Award.
Headline Inc unveils PIPELINE-UI, a groundbreaking blockchain on-ramp solution and Algorand's latest industry-leading technical achievement--a React.js based component library that is being built from the ground up to address crypto’s biggest challenges. There is an urgent need in 2021 for blockchains to solve the on-ramp dilemma. Algorand CEO, Steve Kokinos recently summarized the issue stating, “There's something in the neighborhood of 100,000 developers working on blockchain today. There’s close to 20Million (developers) who aren't. Developer experiences need to improve dramatically for mainstream applications to take hold’’.
In April 2021, Aaron Martinez, founder of Headline Inc, became acutely aware of the on-ramp dilemma. He spent the following two months working closely with the Algorand Foundation. Through the support of the Algorand Foundation’s development awards program, PIPELINE-UI was created to fundamentally change the entire blockchain developer onboarding experience. PIPELINE-UI solves the blockchain on-ramp dilemma by redefining what a component library is. No longer component shells, PIPELINE-UI’s standard Algorand components ship with batteries installed. A new Algorand SDK was written that is hard coded into Algorand components, meaning that the components are literally plug-and-play. Developers can now build and deploy custom DApps (Decentralized Algorand Applications) in under 3 minutes.
PIPELINE-UI opens a new world of blockchain possibilities to developers, with three different suites of tools for every developer at any stage in their career. Headline Inc interns, with zero coding experience, were able to successfully build and deploy functional blockchain applications in under 4 minutes.
