Algorand Foundation is proud to support the next generation of blockchain talent. Our internship program is open to bright and enthusiastic undergraduate and graduate students from all over the world. Every summer we offer rewarding internship opportunities in a variety of technical and non-technical fields remotely and in select Algorand Foundation offices. The internship roles are paired with valuable mentoring sessions with our leadership team and educational programming to help you reach the career goals you are aspiring to achieve.

How can I apply?

What does the interview process look like?
Once you submit your application, our Algorand Foundation team will carefully review it within 15 working days. If your skills and experience align with a current internship opportunity, we'll reach out to schedule a quick phone screening with a recruiter. If it is decided you’re a good fit for the role in question, a second more in-depth interview will be scheduled with the role’s supervisor. We’ll send you detailed instructions at each stage, as the process may vary depending on the role.

I applied for an internship role via the Algorand Foundation jobs page, but did not receive a response within 15 working days. Am I still under consideration for the role?
We only contact applicants who we consider for a role. Feel free to follow up with our team via email internships@algorand.foundation to find out about the status of your application

Can international students apply for internship roles?
Please discuss your eligibility to work as an intern with your local international office at your university.

Can I apply for an internship role if I am already a full-time professional?
Internship roles are open to currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students or recent graduates who finished their university education within the last 18 months.

If I didn’t get an internship this year, can I try again next year?
If you don’t get picked this year don’t get discouraged. Algorand Foundation is lucky to have such talented and skilled students apply from all over the world. Continue your learning journey and try again next year.

Are internships offered year-round?
Our paid internships usually run from June to August for about 10-12 weeks.

Are internships at Algorand Foundation paid?
Internships at Algorand Foundation are remunerated based on local market practice.

Can I intern remotely at Algorand Foundation?
Some of our roles are remote internships, others require you to come to the office at least part of the time.

Do you provide a work visa or work permit sponsorship?
Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor work permits or visas at this time.

What are the working hours?
Our working hours are flexible and need to be coordinated in accordance with your role’s supervisor. You must be available a minimum of 30 hours per week.

When does the internship start and end?
Our interns start in June and are with Algorand Foundation for 10-12 weeks. Exact start and end dates are decided on a case-by-case basis.

Which roles do you have available?
Algorand Foundation has a variety of roles available, including our dev rel, communities, education and marketing verticals. Visit the jobs page to learn more.

Will I have a mentor for the duration of my internship?
Yes, the internship program officer will assign a mentor other than your supervisor to you who will meet with you regularly and support you throughout the duration of the internship program.

Will I be able to meet other Algorand Foundation interns and team members?
Yes, the internship program officer will get all interns together and ensure you can connect with your peers throughout the summer. All interns will also participate in our weekly Monday Morning Meeting and be part of our monthly staff all-hands meetings. Wherever possible we will also enable interns to meet our C-level leaders and ask them their burning questions.
