Algorand Ventures is partnering with CV Labs to be a joint investment partner for its Batch_06 accelerator, which will provide participants with guidance, capital, and resources for building in the Algorand ecosystem and beyond.

CV Labs is the accelerator arm of CV VC, an early-stage venture capital investor focusing on global startups that build blockchain technology solutions. CV Labs actively supports startups, corporates, and investors to leverage blockchain technology, with the support of over 150 mentors and countless investors. CV VC’s successful investments include DoxyChain, Cybera, Coala Pay, and Coinrule.

Algorand Ventures is dedicated to providing funding and launch support to the best builders in the Algorand ecosystem. Recent investments from Algorand Ventures include Onramp.money, a fiat-to-crypto onramp solution originating from India; Defly, an Algorand wallet with unique DeFi trading features; and Fracctal Monsters, a play-and-earn monster-taming game

Ryan Terribilini, EVP at Algorand Ventures, said: “CV Labs is a perfect strategic partner for Algorand Foundation. The partnership illustrates our commitment to supporting builders who aspire to create transformative solutions and pioneer meaningful change in the blockchain space.”

Bastian Wetzel, Head of Acceleration at CV Labs, said: “Being a judge on the Algorand Build-A-Bull hackathon allowed me to review some of the over 155 project submissions and gave me invaluable exposure to early-stage projects building on Algorand. It would be incredible to have these innovators apply for the Batch_06 accelerator program.”

The program is for exceptional founders determined to make a significant impact in the world of blockchain and digital assets. We are encouraging early-stage projects, such as those that participated in the Build-A-Bull hackathon alongside existing ecosystem projects, to apply. Participants will not only gain access to invaluable resources, mentorship, and technical support but also receive a $135K CHF investment from Algorand Ventures and CV Labs.

The program starts in March 2024. It will take place in a hybrid format, starting with a one-week bootcamp in Zug (also known as Crypto Valley), Switzerland, followed by eight weeks of online learning and guidance, and then a final graduation week in Zug. By adopting this hybrid format, it aims to attract and engage with exceptional innovators from across the globe.

The program outline is as follows:

  1. Bootcamp: a one-week in-person event filled with high-quality training from global experts and unique networking opportunities.
  2. Block 1: four weeks of online learning on technology, product, and legal with weekly workshops and webinars taught by industry experts.
  3. Block 2: four weeks of online learning on marketing and branding with weekly workshops and webinars taught by industry experts.
  4. Graduation:  a one-week in-person event to work on developing pitching skills, followed by a demo day and the opportunity to pitch to high-profile investors.
