Go to https://perawallet.app/ on your mobile device and download the Pera Mobile iOS or Android app.

Select "Create a new account," if you are new to Algorand.

Click “I understand” to create a passphrase for your account.
You can skip this step and continue with the wallet setup. However, you must set this up later.

Prepare to write down your recovery passphrase. When you’re ready, click “I’m Ready to Begin.”

You should now see your recovery passphrase on the screen. Write it down. Important: Do not take screenshot of your recovery passphrase.

Verify the recovery passphrase has been recorded successfully by selecting a few keywords in the phrase.

Name your account. This naming feature is simply for convenience. It will help you keep organized between your different accounts. It does not interact with the blockchain.

That’s it! You have now created an account in Pera Wallet. Go ahead and explore the Algorand ecosystem!
How to set up multiple accounts in your Pera Wallet
You can create many Algorand accounts in your Pera Wallet.
Click on the blue “+” symbol on the app’s home screen to create a new account. Note: Each account will require its own recovery passphrase. For security reasons, there is no total wallet recovery, only individual account recovery.
How to send an NFT to your Pera Wallet account
To start receiving NFTs to your Pera Wallet account, all you have to do is “opt-in” to the NFT ASA IDs you want to receive.

Open the Pera Wallet app and click the NFTs icon at the bottom of the screen.

Click the “+” icon in the top right corner and paste the ASA ID of the NFT you would like to receive. (Not sure where to find the ASA ID? It should appear on the marketplace beside the asset you are receiving.)

Once the NFT ASA shows up, click on it to approve a transaction with this ASA ID being sent to you.

That’s it! When the ASA is sent to you it will appear directly in your Pera Wallet account in your NFTs section.
Important measures to secure your Algorand account
- Memorize and store your 25-word recovery passphrase securely offline.
- Do not give your passphrase to anyone. The Pera support team will never ask for your passphrase.
- Beware of phishing scams. Never enter your recovery passphrase or private key on any website or application.
- Keep your Pera Wallet app and device software up-to-date. Updates often include security patches that fix vulnerabilities.
