March 3rd, 2022 - The Algorand Foundation announces today that it has awarded a grant to DeCHO, to develop a decentralized crowdfunding platform built on Algorand blockchain.
DeCHO is not just another crowd-funding platform, it’s the innovation that sets the standard of what crowdfunding urgently needs to become: safe donations and legitimate projects. For the first time donors can decide if they want to actually back a project. The platform provides innovative mechanisms such as secure milestone based payments, and is designed to become fully independent, maintained and governed by its users.
DeCHO is a decentralized crowdfunding platform built on the Algorand blockchain. A product that focuses on crowdfunding, we are giving our users the choice to remain anonymous while voting and donating to any cause of their choosing. Now everyone can choose, and decide to give to whatever project they please, bringing a transparent and effective crowdfunding system to our users and the Algorand community at large.
“This grant will go a long way to ensure that capable hands are on deck and that we are able to give our users and the community the best crowdfunding service possible even as soon as we kick off. Ultimately, we are working towards making a system that will be available to and governed by every member of the Algorand ecosystem”. - Joshua Praise, Founder DeCHO
“We welcome DeCho to the Algorand Ecosystem through our grant program. We’re excited to support DeCHo develop their decentralized crowdfunding platform on Algorand. DeCho will benefit from Algorand’s security, speed, finality and low fees and will offer an effective and transparent crowdfunding platform managed and governed by its users”. - Addie Wagenkneckt.
