The Algorand Foundation launched the Algorand Centres of Excellence (ACE) programme to establish a global network for research and education excellence in blockchain and cryptocurrency technology.

The programme will establish a global network of centres for research and education excellence in blockchain technology that advances collaborative, multidisciplinary, and cutting-edge knowledge in the field in general and the Algorand ecosystem in particular.

The Founding University Programme supports the leading scientific universities and faculties in building a truly global blockchain ecosystem. The institutions represent a diverse mix of influential thought leaders sharing the potential of blockchain innovation as a force for social justice and the global good.

The participating universities further contribute to the security and decentralization of the Algorand blockchain by managing and running trusted relay nodes, the backbone of Algorand's communication network.

Algorand Community Governance: Period 3 Review

Global University Program

The Algorand Foundation Global University Program supports the leading scientific universities and faculties in building a truly global blockchain ecosystem. The institutions represent a diverse mix of influential thought leaders sharing the potential of blockchain innovation as a force for social justice and the global good.

Specifically, the participating universities will be involved in suggesting technical research efforts and supporting the decentralized Algorand platform. Each institution will have a program representative that will work closely with the Foundation.
